Tidal wave

Last Sunday we trekked through the jungle at the national park for more than 4km in search for a new place to hang out. We didn't exactly went hiking, because we didn't really look like we're going for a hike. Jeans, t-shirt, confidence, determination and we're good to go. By the end of the trek, we found this wonderful secluded beach! Even though the waters are not that clear, the place is hidden from civilization and it feels good to be there with your friends, away from our problems for a while.

Gorgeous view overlooking the sea above the rocks before coming down to the beach.. Wish I had a DSLR to capture the view. I only had a compact camera.

Along the way, we met a lot of foreign tourists. We also shared a boat ride with a German couple to and from the terminal. Even in the dense rainforest, everytime we pass by the tourists, a simple exchange of "hello" was never missed. It is really something, one moment I felt like I was a tourist in my own home.

There was one time when we were hanging out by the stream, I hear nothing but the waves crashing. I must've drifted into my thoughts before I realized the silence and wondered what everyone was thinking. I guess we were tired. Tired from the world each of us live in or tired from the journey through the jungle? Both, I think. While we were there, there were a few people but towards the hour we needed to leave, we had the beach all to ourselves. Before we left it felt like I wanted to stay there longer.

The journey was really tiring and a bit difficult for me, but I'm glad to have it in my memories that everyone looked after each other. Thank you Wira, Wani & Nasmee for the short trip. My body is still aching due to my low fitness level.. but I want to do it again! I miss the serenity of hanging out by the sea already.. I don't like how messy my life lately! Hmm..
