It's Good To Talk

No matter how messed up a friend's life is, it's always good to reminisce and feel connected again. I'm always supportive of what my friends want to do in their lives though I might be a bit honest and provocative in my critics. 

Today a friend called out of the blue, after quite a while that we haven't talked. I don't usually take calls from strange numbers, but I took the call anyway. I felt that it was someone close to me. Well the friend has been pretty busy with her life, what with her having jobs offshores (oil&gas). I like talking to her because she's my source for the latest updates on friends we know since we were younger. Yippee! 

Among other interesting news, a friend got married recently because the girlfriend was having his (unwed) baby.  We were joking that he probably skipped Biology class in Form 5 or his hormones were at the speed of light that nothing else made sense. Nothing wrong with sex, but being 'forced' to marry just because you had sex out of lust is not quite romantic for a start. 

Fewh~ now some of my friends are becoming wives and husbands and parents themselves. It's weird to see this current trend, I still feel that we're way too young to be dealing with serious things.

Anyways, if you've got friends you haven't talked to in a while, call them when you can. It's always good to talk. Really, I haven't talked to anybody on the phone for more than an hour in a long time, not even when I called home while I was away.
