Swing Of Fate

As usual, the week pass by like the heavy winds of the monsoon season. Since my team qualified for EDX (Engineering Design Exhibition), Wednesday and Thursday was much like a blurry past because everything and everyone seem like they're in a whirlpool in my eyes. I was surprised that our project was in the top 6 and qualified for Best Invention and won a Gold medal for it. Honestly, I don't find our project as great compared to the others. Some projects were very interesting and I never knew my friends are so creative! 

The worst part of the week were the tests, of which I shall say they qualify for the worst I've had in many months. Especially DSP (Digital Signal Processing) test today, I think I'm going to get zero for that because I answered only about 5% of the questions. Epic failure. Yes, I feel so dumb.

A distant family member passed away today, someone who is actually close to my immediate family. It was a shocker, because I thought she's doing fine nowadays after she's been diagnosed with breast cancer some while ago. Perhaps her health deteriorates from the cruel chemo. Al-Fatihah. It's epiphanic that life can be cut short with just a swing of fate. The fact that age doesn't make you invincible when Death comes, makes it difficult to ignore the thought of it when you're having so much fun in your youth. 

A few friends got into an accident earlier this evening. I heard it was awful, but I hope they'll be fit to sit for the final exams in 2 weeks time. I pray for their fast recovery.
