Long Weekend?

Monday's a holiday! for Deepavali. Yahhooo!

Today I had a mission, but that mission is not properly accomplished afterall. Haha. Nevermind.. I'll regret it later. I'm supposed to go to an E3 Family Day today but I opted out because I have to be outside of U// in the afternoon to settle some things with a friend so I don't want to pay RM10 for something that I won't enjoy fully. Well, somebody offered to pay for me, but I just don't want to owe anybody anything. Haha.

Ahh.. since today I got some spare time to waste before dinner, I decided to check out AdSense and Advertlets. Don't ask me why I'm putting those two instead of Nuffnang or whatever else there is out there because I don't know why exactly. At first, I thought it was unncessary. But then I thought.. why not? At my previous blog there are AdSense skyscrappers at the sidebar but I don't earn anything from it. But now that I have them, I'm sruggling a bit to place them at relevant areas that don't look intrusive. I'm too lazy to meddle with the CSS part! Besides, I don't want them to visually conquer the contents of my blog and it's not that I have lots of visitors anyway.

When I Googled on these ad programs, I find lots of information and complaints. Haha. Some sounded so angry to the point that I can conclude their desperation for their earnings. It makes me wonder though, how people survive on internet earnings. I know there are probably gazillions of "Be a millionaire through the internet!" books that I can read to get myself convinced but logically, I just don't see it. Or maybe I'm just too used to notion that "money doesn't fall from the sky". Heh.. a noob that I am!

Anyway, I just talked to mom on the phone and she shared a funny story involving my little sister. On Thursday, my granny who was at home got a call saying that my sister had an terrible accident at school. My granny didn't remember my mom's number so she called my aunt who's at the other end of Kuching. Then my mom was of course, shocked to hear it and with all that panic she called my brother to go see my sister at school.

When they came to the school, to their surprise my sister came to them in her usual shape. She was puzzled to see my mom and brother! I can imagine my sister's expression.. must be like the shocked anime characters. Haha. Actually, nothing happened to her. My granny got a prank call by some kid who apparently knows the name of my sister and until now they haven't identified who the kid is. Mom said it was a first time for her to rush to her kids' school for emergency. Haha.

Hopefully I can finish my "mission" by tomorrow!
