What is good, what is bad

I am very prone to liking strange things. I am very prone to liking men who have a hot body build or a romantic at heart, disregarding of how good they look or who they are. I am very prone to have a distinct taste in nearly everything. At least that's what my father thinks of me.

Agak-agak lah, if I end up liking a black man and decide to marry him, would my parents approve? Or even falling in love with someone from another religion. It happens..

Living in Malaysia, it is normal to see a person being a racist. Honestly I've heard closed ones criticize on other races just because of who they are. Sometimes it's true what they say, but most of the time they're merely comments sparked from prejudice against people 'outside of our circle'.

Not that I'm strongly opposing these 'warnings' my upbringing have taught me, but I think, if you're a bad person, you're a bad person no matter which race or religion you belong to. I've always preferred to see someone as a bad person not because of what he believes, but because of his actions, because of the consequence of the harm that he may have imposed.

A good person is the one who believes in being good and he's still good even though he has yet to turn his believes into good actions. If we can have fun with one another and be happy in the presence of each other, why does it matter so much that the person is different?
