Song for you
Untitled by redblaque
Just thought I'd update this nifty blog a little. This song goes out to all of my friends who are experiencing their very late teenagehood depression.
It's actually just a rough arrangement of a song I 'accidentally' wrote this morning. Not on guitar, just had to pursue the melody with our 10 year old Yamaha keyboard. If you can't hear my voice or would like to know what I sing of, read more to find out.
Pardon the crackles (it's the keyboard!), mis-notes and the soft voice (morning voice!). Recorded with a Sansa Clip+.. pretty nifty, that little one.
Hey you, how do you do today?
Am I already in your head?
Are you gonna be okay?
I can hear the shiver in your voice
from the coolest nights we've gone through
am I already in your head?
We've gone this far,
we drove for miles
under the hottest suns,
mend that broken heart
you can leave it all behind now
So put your arms around me
Let's watch the sun set into our dreams
the stars dance to the music
and the beat goes on and on and on,
all through the night!
hey you, show me your greatest smile
put the sun back in your heart
'cause there's nothing that can tear you apart
