Mister God

Recently read this book titled "Mister God, This is Anna" by Fynn (S.G. Hopkins). The book is not about God of any particular religion, but Mister God, as interpreted by a little child who believes that God is some Higher Being that should be our purpose of living. Though the book has hints of Christianity, Anna the main character, actually tries to understand God out of the religion context instead.

A summary of things I find inspirational :

1) There is no boundary to learning. You find life difficult when you limit yourself to a certain type of knowledge.

2) Humans have many point of views but God has an infinite amount of viewing points that human can't see. Every pain, every pleasure, we often do not see the lesson that God is trying to teach us.

3) You only use words like 'smaller', 'bigger', 'fairer' when you have two or more things to compare. There is only one Mr. God. There is no comparison, He is but all the adjectives and there is no comparison to it.

4) Religion is all about trying to resemble these adjectives that we describe God with. Our purpose of living is to be 'Kind', 'Loving', 'Forgiving'. Religion guides us to these goals.

5) Colors we see are reflection of colors that aren't absorbed by the object. In other words, we can't see the colors that the object 'wants'. God 'wants' everything, so we cannot see Him because he does not reflect any light. As humans we can only see a color the object wants to reflect, not it's 'true color'.

6) The price of not being frightened is trust. Sometimes we have to let God do his job in fixing our destiny by being brave in the decisions we make in life. Our destiny is controlled by God and also our own judgments.God is part of everybody and everybody is part of God.

7) One answer can lead to a 'squillion' (many) questions. One question may only lead to an answer or two. Anyone can answer any question in the world if we can map our imaginations to learning greater things through developing questions from 'answers' we see around us.

8) All things have sex-like quality ie. everything is made seminal and productive e.g. words are seeds of ideas.

9) One way to understand God in our life is to take the metaphor that God is the Light, His creations are the object and when the Light shines on the object, there will be shadows. These shadows are the inspirations given by Him for us, which enable us to progress through knowledge. The shadow may not be clear or distorted but we have our intelligence to find out what the message is.

10) When you live in the dark, you can see answers easily. That's because in the dark, you need to describe yourself and know yourself. In presence of light, other people will describe you. When you develop your brain and senses, it is only half of being a human. You'll also need to develop your heart and wits to be a good human being.

...and many more.

I can't be telling you all, so if you see this somewhere go and pick it up. Open your minds, me hearties.
