Phew! I've been having mental blocks on what to write since I came home.. maybe because I've been busy living my real life. Hehe.
I realize that life in campus is NO LIFE at all. The world is such an exciting place when you actually live in it. There's so many things you can do away from the textbooks or the computer, like watching all the channels your TV is subscribed with and meeting new people offline, among many others. My life in that secluded jungle is all about deadlines, schedules, lots of papers, wires and nature (the jungles and the animals in it). The only thing that connects me to the outer world is the internet. And that's not something to be proud of at all, because it doesn't seem to be reliable, especially at times when you really need it. Urgh.
Three days ago my cousin gave birth to a cute baby girl. We had three births in the family this year. And this one, what a way to wrap the year right? She's lovely when I came to see her at the hospital. She screams so loud! It's nice to see the family expanding and seeing the glow in people's faces when they have their first babies. I personally like baby girls because they're such sweethearts from the day they were born even until they grow older. Baby boys are equally adorable, but they can give you headaches once they learn to scream and use their limbs for attention!
Anyhow, recently I got my Ubuntu 8.10 Intrepid Ibex CD in the mail. I was excited to be home because I wanted to try it so that was among the earliest things I tried soon as I settled with my things. Intrepid is awesome compared to Windows, but unfortunately I've got the shutdown/restart bug that won't let my lappie power down when I pressed the shut down button. I've wasted hours trying to troubleshoot that and none of the community-posted fixes work for me. So I think I'll just stick to my sluggish but clean and freshly installed XP until there's an official fix. Well, not that this paragraph is that interesting for you to know, right?
Okay, nak tengok movie. 'Til I write again.

Gunalah Ubuntu hardy 8.04. It's the most stable Ubuntu ever. Intrepid is still not so stable. I don't use Intrepid. Installed untuk anak saudara main2 haha.
